Mary Ann Stasick

Mary Ann Catherine Stasick, age 80, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, due to natural causes following a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Born on May 29, 1946, Mary Ann dedicated her life to the service of others. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1965 and completed the St. Vincent RN program two years later. Following three years of honorable service in the United States Air Force, she pursued advanced medical training, earning her Master’s degree as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

Her successful and impactful nursing career took her to several cities, where her gentle hands and sharp mind cared for countless patients. She spent a deeply cherished chapter of her career in Madison, Wisconsin, where she specialized in cardiac care. Mary Ann eventually returned to Hot Springs, Arkansas, to care for her mother, whom she adored and loved very much.

In her retirement, Mary Ann remained active in her community. She was a dedicated member of the Hot Springs Women’s Club, where she served on the screening committee for nursing scholarships, helping to pave the way for the next generation of caregivers. She also found great joy in life's simple pleasures, including jazzercise classes, playing bunco, and attending lively luncheons with her close friends and former classmates.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, George and Lucy Stasick, and her brother, John Stasick.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward: her brother, George Stasick, and his wife, Pat Stasick; her nephew, John Stasick, and his wife, Nicole, along with their children, Megan and Colin Stasick; and her niece, Shelly Stasick Smith, and her husband, Jason Smith, along with children Taylor Cambre, Brandon Cambre and Jake Cambre.

Mary Ann will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love, service, and vibrant spirit will never be forgotten.
