Mary was born on December 18, 1951, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She was a proud graduate of Henderson University, earning her bachelor’s degree before going on to fulfill her goal of becoming a registered nurse. She dedicated many years of her life to the nursing profession, faithfully serving and caring for others.
Mary had many passions throughout her life. She found joy in country music and had a special talent for working with all kinds of crafts. She was a lifelong member of Lakepoint City Church, where her faith remained a guiding light in her life. Above all, Mary’s greatest love and deepest devotion were for her family.
Today, we gather to celebrate her life and the legacy she leaves behind. In the days ahead, may we each find comfort and strength as we grieve in our own ways, remembering the love she so freely gave.
However, as we move forward, may we keep peace in our hearts and joy in our souls, as she would have wanted. Count each day you are given. Live in the moment. Never let the troubles of tomorrow steal the peace you have today.
She is survived by one sister, three sons, two daughters, fourteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In closing, as she would often say, “Have a blessed day.”
Mary is survived by her sister, Linda.
She is also survived by her sons: Matthew Morrison, John Morrison (Poppi Morrison), and Joasha Morrison.
Her daughters include Rachel Selphia, Robert Selphia, Jessica Morrison, and Marcus.
Her grandchildren are Ashley, Ruthan, Justin, Jasmine, Jacob, Elizabeth, Leisha, Bradon, Emma Chie, Kane, Johnny, Albre, and Lucas.
Her great-grandchildren are Levi, Brantley, Nevaeh, and Nasire.
