Merle A. Ross, 73, of Pearcy passed peacefully on October 25. Merle was born in San Francisco , California on July 7, 1942 to the late William and Dora Amos Perry. Merle married Bob L. Ross in 1962. They enjoyed fifty three years of love and family. Together they traveled doing missionary work for many years. Merle took sewing machines to teach children to sew. Later she taught at private Christian schools, she loved children and they adored her.
A gifted seamstress, Merle’s master upholstery and drapery work led to another career in interior design. She also made with love the wedding gowns worn by her daughter and daughters-in-law.
Merle was predeceased by a son, Joe Aaron Ross. Those cherishing her memory are her husband Bob Ross Sr.; children Bobby Ross Jr., Vernon Ross, James Ross, and Janie Neuwirth; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grand children.
A memorial service will be held at Gross Funeral Home on Friday at 2pm.
