surrounded by family. She was born the third child of nine to Sam Houston Cash and Minnie
Francis Cobb Cash in DeRoche, Arkansas on August 9, 1924. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Burl Cash and Houston Cash and sisters Irene Carpenter, Rose Weston, Ruthell Gonzales, Mae Almond, and LaVerne Weston; husband Archie Sterling Sutton and later in life husband Chester Blaylock; her son Floyd Sutton and daughter Nelta Hill. She is survived by her brother Allen Cash (Judy), daughter Brenda Cox Bennie (Jack), son-in-law Larry Hill, grandchildren, Randy Hill (Ann), Jill Sutton Holt (Allen), Brian Hill (Amie), Missi Sutton

Nellie met her husband, Archie when he rescued her after she had driven her car into a ditch.
They were married on May 22, 1942 when she was 17. In the 1950s they started a construction company, Archie Sutton Inc. that grew and evolved into what is currently Hill & Cox Corporation
and remains a thriving third generation family business today because of the foundation built
by their vision and hard work.
Nellie was an accomplished ball room and square dancer. She and Archie were founding
members of the Avalon Dance Club. She later met her second husband, Chester at a square
dance at the YWCA. They were married in 1994.
Nellie also loved to play cards and dominoes and had a reputation among her grandchildren for
being fiercely competitive. She spent many hours with her grandchildren and proved a favorite
babysitter even to her great grandchildren well into her golden years.
A graveside service is planned for Friday at 1:30 at Lowe Cemetery for family and close friends.
Memorials may be made to the church or charity of your choosing. The family would like to
express their appreciation to Hospice Home Care, Nancy Winkle and all of the caregivers at Hearts of Gratitude Home where Nellie spent her final years and was lovingly cared for as if she were a member of their own family.
