Roger, we are saddened to learn of Patโ€™s death. It was often repeated by those who were closest friends with the two of you that the two of you were meant to be husband and wife. Only God can make such decisions for us, so he has certainly arranged a place for her in Heaven.

You and your family are in our Prayers and thoughts.

I first met Pat through a mutual friend. Penny and Pat loved to quilt and I can imagine the two of them rejoicing in heaven. Pat loved to be with her family and she beamed when she spoke about them. John and I send our heartfelt condolences to all of the Maddox family.

I am stunned with this news. Pat and I were childhood friends and cousins. We played together at Mamie's house and her Aunt Pearl's house (my grandmother) in Murfreesboro so many times through the years. She and I had only recently made contact after many years of not corresponding. We don't always know what life is going to demand of us, and I had no idea this was about to happen to such a dear childhood friend/cousin. I truly enjoyed seeing all the photos she posted on face book, and I knew from her posts how much she loved her family. My prayers are for you, her family, as you try to adjust to your tremendous loss.
