After graduating from Hot Springs High School in 1951, Peggy began her career with the Credit Bureau of Hot Springs. Eventually she would work at Arkansas Bank and Trust, Merrill Lynch, and also as a secretary to Mr. Coston at Stearns Hardware.
Peggy moved to Los Angeles where she spent several years working for Blue Cross of Southern California. When she returned to Hot Springs, Peggy began working at Oldsmobile,Buick where she learned to be a bookkeeper and eventually left to work at Alford Civil Engineering Company. She was an early member of the Artist Workshop downtown and a member of Traditional Artists of Hot Springs and a long time member of epsilon sigma alpha.
Peggy loved to travel; after she married Don George Sr. they were able to visit most of Eastern Europe and some Northern African cities. After Don’s death in 1991, Peggy traveled with her sister and aunt, including a long desired trip to China. A life well lived.
