He was predeceased by his parents; brother Charles Kortenber; sister Linda Glover; and son Michael Kortenber.
He was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School and attended college at Arkansas State University and Kansas University.
He is survived by his wife Sandy; son Bobby (Kacky) Kortenber; daughter Michelle Kortenber Laney; grandchildren Nick (Lindsay) Kortenber, Katie (Justin) Lamb, and Lindsey (Jason) Pelton; great-grandson Billy G. Kortenber and great-granddaughter Kennedy Pelton.
Robert was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s name to St. John Catholic School.
