Ronald Joseph Sliger, born September 23, 1962, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on September 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ron was a strong, hardworking man who fought with everything he had. Those who knew him will remember his toughness, his sense of humor, and the love he had for his family. He gave his daughters a childhood filled with fun, laughter, adventures, and memories they will carry with them forever. Much of their childhood was spent boating and camping on Lake Ouachita, creating some of their happiest and most treasured memories together. For many years, Ron worked as a boat mechanic and had a real gift for working on boats. He knew them inside and out and took great pride in his work.

More than anything, Ron was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His presence was larger than life, and the stories and memories he leaves behind will continue to bring both laughter and comfort to those who loved him.

Ron is survived by his daughters, Amber Williams and Samantha Ralston and her husband, Blake Ralston; his father, Ronald Sliger; his siblings, Margie Luman and her husband, Brad Luman, Susan Brock, Andy Sliger and his wife, Cheryl Sliger, Michael Sliger, and Danny Sliger and his wife, Kelly Sliger. He was a proud grandfather to Brier Ray Rather, Jayce Nicole Rather, Brody Joseph Ralston, and Sophia Grace Ralston.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Ruthie Ann Sliger; his brothers, Mark Sliger and Eric Sliger; and his grandson, Carson Blake Ralston.

Ron will be deeply missed, but the love he gave, the lessons he taught, the laughter he brought, and the memories he created will remain with his family forever. A memorial gathering will be held to celebrate Ron’s life, share stories, laugh about the good times, and honor a man who meant so much to so many.

Services will be held at Gross Funeral Home, 120 Wright Street, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913, on October 12, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
