Ronnie “CR” Wallace, lovingly known by many as Mr. Fix-It, passed away on October 25, 2025, surrounded by his family after a life defined by faith, love, and service. He was a godly man with a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand, share a smile, or fix whatever was broken—whether it was a project, a problem, or a person’s day.
Born on July 2, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas, Ronnie graduated from Muskogee High School in Oklahoma. He went on to work as a hydraulic mechanic for the railroad, a career that reflected both his strong work ethic and his natural gift for building and repairing things.
When he wasn’t working, Ronnie loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Whether it was a quiet day together at home or a family gathering filled with laughter, those moments meant the most to him. One of Ronnie and Jill’s favorite traditions was sharing coffee together every morning, whether side by side at home or on a video call when they were apart. It was their simple, cherished way of starting each day together.
He was a devoted member of National Park Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he faithfully lived out his belief in loving God and serving others. Those who knew him best will remember his kindness, humility, and deep love for his family—and perhaps also his fondness for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, his favorite treat.
Ronnie married the love of his life, Jill Wallace, on May 13, 2000, and together they built a beautiful life filled with faith, laughter, and family for 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Claude Wallace, his mother, Betty Wallace, and his brother, Jerry Binns.
He is survived by his devoted wife Jill Wallace; daughter Hayley Tankersley and her husband Luke Tankersley; son Dylan Birge and his wife Katarina Birge; brother Steve Wallace and his wife Jeannie Wallace; and four cherished grandchildren: Axel Tankersley, Abel Tankersley, Kendall Birge, and Tucker Birge.
Ronnie will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, worked hard, and left every place—and person—better than he found them. His legacy of faith, family, and craftsmanship will continue to inspire all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Park Church, 320 Lakeshore Drive, Hot Springs, AR 71913
