“I just got to tease you a little bit,” he would say with a smile. R.V.‘s selfless optimism, love of play and unwillingness to say a harsh word about anyone, made him a magnet for true friends and children.
R.V. loved the Lord, his church family at Centerfork Missionary Baptist Church, and telling people about his Sunday school class.
Meeting him in Heaven will be his siblings Ruby Neal, Marie Burks, Robert Oliver, Zetta Oliver, Bertie Wright, Everett Oliver, Edith Johnson, and Coyle Oliver.
Missing R.V. will be his wife, Mary Jo, with whom he was blessed with 61 years of love and family. Jimmy (Susan) Oliver will remember his dad as a patient, gracious man; R.V.’s kindness and generosity of spirit will live on in his grandsons, Jason (Amy) and Jeremy (Allison) Oliver. He was the very proud great grandpa of Payton, Lane, Karson, Alyssa, Makayla, Jaylynne, Keegan, Garret, and Aubree. R.V. had also welcomed a great great grandchild, Beckam.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Inman, Jason Oliver, Anthony Boxer, Michael Noles, David Oliver, Junior Oliver, Monty Watkins, and Marsha Oliver-King.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the caregivers and nursing staff at Quapaw Nursing and Rehab and R.V’s Sunday school “The Sanctuary” class.
