Sharon Prator

Sharon Kaye Prater, age 78, passed away peacefully. She was born on October 14, 1947, in Sheldon, Iowa, to James Lloyd Manley and Evelyn Joyce Whitmore.

Sharon dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her work as a Registered Nurse. Known for her compassion and steady presence, she served countless patients throughout her career before retiring. Her commitment to service extended beyond healthcare, as she also proudly served her country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force.

Family was at the center of Sharon’s life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished time with her loved ones. She is survived by her children, Leslie Wilson, David Wolfe, and Shauna Franz; her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; and her longtime partner, Wayne Dion, who shared many meaningful years by her side.

Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved son, Troy Prater, who remained forever in her heart.

She will be remembered for her strength, her dedication to helping others, and the deep love she had for her family. Sharon’s legacy of care, service, and resilience lives on through all who knew and loved her.
