Sherry Fix

Sherry was born in Springfield, Missouri on August 16, 1952, to Leland and Sibyl Gleghorn. She grew up in Arkadelphia and later graduated from Henderson State University.

Sherry was a hardworking and dedicated employee. During her career in healthcare, she worked for Baptist Health in the 80’s, Jefferson Regional Medical Center in the 90’s, and for the past 25 years at CHI St. Vincent Women’s Clinic Hot Springs until her retirement in December 2023.

Sherry married the love of her life, Timothy Fix, on July 5, 2003. They shared a beautiful life in their dream log home on Lake Hamilton. She was affectionately known as “Gram” to her grandchildren and shared many wonderful memories of fireworks, fire pit s’mores, cookouts, brown cows, and orange rolls with them at the lake.

Sherry enjoyed cruising on the lake, watching cooking shows and HGTV, vacationing at the beach, reading magazines, shopping at Bath and Body Works, and spending time with family and friends.

To know Sherry was to love her. You never saw her without her lipstick on. She was a caring, gentle, and kind woman with a contagious smile and the best laugh . She was also a good listener and friend.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Timothy Fix, her daughter, Ashley (Scott) Tallent; her son, Justin Morgan; her bonus-daughter, Alisha (Eric) Fix; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Seth, and Morgan Tallent. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Gleghorn.

The family would like to give special thanks to CHI SVI Hot Springs SICU/LTCH nurses and medical team for their excellent care and her loving work family these past few weeks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Central Arkansas Pet Partners.

There will be a Visitation held at Gross Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 11:00am-1:00pm with a Graveside Service to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arkadelphia, AR. Guests may register at www.GrossFuneralHome.com
