

Summer graduated high school from Cutter Morning Star in 1997 and went on to ASU in Jonesboro where she graduated with a degree in Biology. She also enjoyed 1 year at the University of Costa Rica, a place she fell in love with. She would go on to become a Registered Nurse, earning her license after attending the National Park College Nursing Program.
Summer is preceded in death by her father, Donald Byrum; paternal grandparents, John and Gladys Byrum; maternal grandparents, Everett and Polly Barentine; her Aunt Becky and cousin, Joseph Barentine.
Survivors include her parents, Phil and Julie Fisher; brothers, Skid Byrum (Tara), Neil Fisher (Cyndi); sister, Brandi Shepherd (Donald); nieces and nephews, Neila, Marcus, Jacota and Makalin; uncle, Everett M. Barentine; Grammy Betty Fisher; godson, Lain Nolan; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and her sweet dog, Pepper.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her close friends, Jennifer Massey, Chip Holmes, Lillian Summer Holmes (her namesake) and Zondra Golden.
They would also like to thank Dr. Stephen Divers, Dr. Edward & Angie Warren, Dr. David Pruitt, Oak Park Pharmacy, Arkansas Hospice, Genesis Cancer Center, American Home Patient and St. Vincent Radiation nurses and staff for all of their care and support.
Per Summer’s request there will not be a public service, her family will cherish her memory privately.
