Tanner Root

Born March 15th 1995 - Passed away August 23rd 2024.

Leaving behind his loving wife Brigitte and two children Riley and Blane. Parents- Edward and Tina Root. Brother- Taylor Root and fiancé Haley. Grandparents- David and Betty Roberts. All of Hot Springs. Grandparents- Dub and Sherry of Oklahoma. Uncle- Brother (David) and Aunt Pascale Roberts of Florida. Plus a Magnitude of other family and friends that all loved and cared for him.

Tanner did not get to finish out the life he wanted to live, but he will continue to live on in the countless lives that he touched. If you knew him, you knew he loved music. The guitar was probably his first love, but there was not an instrument that he wasn’t interested in playing. His playing and singing could lift and light up any room. Just like his contagious smile and laugh could. Next to music baseball was a close second in all the things he loved to get lost in. Above it all he loved his family. Riley Marie will always remember singing and dancing with her daddy and Blane will probably spend years trying to beat his ghost on Mario Kart. The yards in Pearcy will probably keep a lot more flowers now that he is not searching for any to bring back to Brigitte and Tina. Taylor and Ed will never know just how much he looked up to them both. He did not want to leave his family like this. And there will forever be a hole in our hearts that only Tanner knew how to fill.

Tanner lived his life in extremes. He experienced so many extreme highs filled with so much joy and happiness. He played hard and loved harder. And just like so many others he experienced extreme lows fighting a hard battle. He fought hard everyday and his family will forever be grateful for those that helped him fight along the way. He’ll be one tough act to follow.

His family will be holding a celebration of life for Tanner on Friday August 30th at Pearcy Baptist Church from 5:30-7:30 for anyone that would like to come and pay your respects. Thank you all for your support and love.
