Theresa Pearl Cummings passed away in Hot Springs on September 23rd. Theresa was born on February 8th, 1941 in New Madrid, Missouri. She grew up in the St. Louis area and attended Ritenour High School.
Theresa loved to read, her favorite novel was Gone With the Wind. Naming her youngest daughter Randa after a character in the novel. She also loved to cook, entertain, oil painting, and fishing.
Theresa was a business owner of a clothing store in Wentzville, MO for several years. After her spouse of 42 years, John R. Cummings retirement from McDonald Douglas they moved to the Diamondhead Community in Hot Springs. Over their years at Diamondhead, John served as President of the Diamondhead Board and they enjoyed the community and friendship of many.
Theresa is preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Cummings. She is survived by daughters Cynthia Hughes, Deborah Krumwiede, and Randa O’Brien, stepdaughter Kathryn Cummings Stephenson and stepson Randall Ray Cummings, twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and brothers Mike Hardesty and William Smith.
