Toni Boyd, 49, of Hot Springs, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2020. Her son, Jesse; and her soul mate, James, were holding her hand as she crossed over.

Toni was a loving woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. A dedicated wife and mother, supportive sister, the “fun aunt,” and a dear friend to so many, she was known for her easy, approachable nature and was often the one people felt most comfortable confiding in. Toni cherished animals, babies, and the Dallas Cowboys- even if sometimes she gave them a good verbal lashing during game time.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Tiffany Davasher.

Toni will be missed by her husband of almost ten years, James Boyd; pride and joy, son Jesse Price; loving mother, Joyce Ann Carriger; devoted sisters, Theressa Miller and Tammy Cash; many grieving nephews, an especially loved niece; and more friends than anyone can count.

Toni was a light in a dark world and will be sorely missed. She is now in the sky, wearing her favorite jeans, a cute pair of heels, and dancing with her sister, Tiffany.

As she would say, “Life ain’t always beautiful, but it sure is a beautiful ride.”

I Don’t think I will ever meet another soul as genuine as you. The first time I met you we were at Fat Jack’s for the Christmas parade And you were grumpy because your toes were cold. I remember being terrified of you because you looked so angry, little did I know that you would become one of my very best friends in this whole world. I always knew that I could call you whenever I needed you. Be it three in the morning or seven in the morning, you would answer the phone. You never judged anything that I did, you loved me regardless of all the stupid things I chose to do. We had the best times together. I remember taking you to the Luke Bryan concert and you were so excited. That’s probably one of the biggest smiles I ever saw you have other than talking about Jesse and Lucky. There truly will be a darkness and a hole in my heart without you. I love you so much and I will always try to make sure that your memory lives on.

You are the best mother one boy could ask for. You were my entire world all 30 years I had you with me. We were inseparable as mom and son. I will always remember the pretty eggs you had to have at thanksgiving. I don’t think I will find another person to cook me fried cabbage (even though dad hated when we cooked it.) I will always cherish your laugh it filled the room. From late nights at terry’s to game nights at home you were my best friend not just my mom. I love you mom and I will see you one day again. Please look over me and dad as we learn painfully how to live without you.

Toni was my aunt, best friend, and she happily stepped in when i lost my mother (her sister). She always made me feel important, seen, and heard. My favorite memories will be our late night visits wether they were out and about or right there on her couch and the holidays where she always brought the cooler. She always made me stay later so i could hang out with her. She would be yelling at the tv, I'd just be soaking in the quality time that we would share. I could count on her to answer at all hours of the night, she was a night owl, much like myself. Toni's laugh was contagious. I will miss her everyday. ❤

Toni and I first met when she was 14, I became a member of the family at that time. We've had so much fun over the decades and she was a fellow Cowboys fan, The games over the years, the parties, the screaming GO COWBOYS. I'll personally dedicate every game to her. Joyce, Tammy, Teresa, I dont know what to say other than I love yall. You've been my family a very long time. I'm glad she is with Tiffany now. I'm sure Tiff has been waiting on someone to come along. Lucky and Jesse, we will always stay close. RIP Toni and GO COWBOYS!
