Velma Elder Hardin, age 88, entered into eternal rest on August 19, 2022.
She was born on January 6, 1934 in Pearcy, Arkansas to James and Bertha Elder. She married Don Hardin on April 30, 1955. She is now reunited with her parents, siblings Silas and George Elder, Ruby Smith, Edith Jackson, Dorothy Walters, Veda Lane, Ethel Davis and beloved grandson Adam Neal Harrington.
Velma was a Missionary Baptist by faith, dedicated Christian, and shared her love of life with family and friends. She worked for Bell Telephone and retired from ARKLA Gas Company.
She is remembered in love by her husband of 67 years Don Hardin, daughters Donna Toney (Randy), Rhonda Harrington (Neal), all of Hot Springs, grandsons Matthew Toney (Dongjoo) of Boston, MASS., Colin Toney (Betsy) of St. Louis, MO. and Ben Harrington (Libby) of Hot Springs, 4 great-grandsons, nieces and nephews..
The family wishes to convey special thanks to Dierksen Hospice, particularly Terrie, Marcia, Murphy and Kimberly.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday with a celebration of life beginning at 10:00 am at Gross Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
