Virginia Elizabeth Hastings, 96, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas passed on to be with Jesus, Saturday, July 31, 2021.
She was born June 5, 1925 in Buffalo, New York to the late Louis & Elizabeth (Eberhardt) Moschel. At a young age, her family moved to Niagara Falls, New York where she lived until her marriage to Robert Hastings on September 11, 1948. She and Robert moved to several different cities and states including: Niagara Falls, New York; Williamsville, New York; Slidell, Louisiana; Moss Point, Mississippi; San Jose, California and finally to Hot Springs Village, where she called home for the past 35 years.
Virginia was a member of The Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines. Virginia & Bob were founding members of Faith United Church of Christ in Williamsville, New York. She was also a member of several Pinochle Clubs.
After 67 years of marriage, her loving husband, U.S. Naval Commander Robert Hastings preceded her in death on April 11, 2015.
Virginia is survived by her children Kristine Queen and Robert Hastings; grandchildren: USAF Veteran Jennifer Torres, Jacob Hastings and Brian Hastings, currently serving with the U.S. Army in Iraq; great-grandchildren Brianna Boose, Kyle Boose and Charleigh Hastings.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, August 21st at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, 275 Asturias Drive, Hot Springs Village, AR, with Pastor Bill Bailey and Rev. Dale Clancy officiating.
