She was born June 2, 1941 in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Frank Perry Hurst and Lota Hurst (Forbes).
She was an attendee of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Vivian was a very talented woman and was very good at playing the piano. She enjoyed getting dressed up, singing, and reading a good book.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Upchurch, sisters Carol Atchley, Joy Sublett, Glenna Hurst, and brother David Hurst.
Survivors include her children Katrina Smith (Charles), Tina Kagel (Mike), and Leah Evans (Duke), siblings Michael Hurst (Sheila), and Ivan Hurst). Vivian also leaves many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends to cherish her memories.
A visitation will be held at Gross Funeral Home Thursday July 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Gross Funeral Home the following day, Friday July 15, 2022 at 10:00 am with a graveside service to follow at Little Rock National Cemetery.
