So very sad to find out Bill has died. I will always have such fond memories of how his magic hands helped my dogs feel better and how much they loved him. He will be greatly missed.


Bill, you  left us with many happy memories of earlier times with you.   Never thought you would  be in Heaven before us.  But we're  85 and 95 now  and may be with you sooner than you expect.
Nice to know you'll be there to  help welcome us to our eternal home .



The first time I saw Schmitty, I was on extensive pain meds because all the specialists had given up on me. Schmitty took the time to actually listen to me, exam me thoroughly, then actually find out what was wrong with me.  There are very few doctors in this world with his expertise and true love for helping people and animals.

Mrs. Kris,  we absolutely adore you both so much and pray that you are at peace.

Kris and Family:    My deepest condolences on your loss.  Bill was a good friend for over thirty years.  He was a terrific and most compassionate physician.   May light perpetual shine on him!

Kris, I was really sad to hear of Dr. Schmidts death.  I've always thought he was the best! You too.  None of the horses were ever scared of him when he worked on them.  Y'all were always so kind to us.  We will miss him so much.

Kris, I am shocked that you have lost your partner Bill.  The good doctor served his community so well. It is hard to imagine the world without him. Please know that I am deeply sorry for your loss. Let me know if there is any way I can be a help to you.

Prayers for you Kris, and for the family. All of us, Merek, me, Jordan, James, and Jon Michael were all Dr Schmidt patients. You both walked us through some difficult medical issues with Jordan and Merek. You watched as my guys went from boys to men.  James and Jon looked forward to seeing Dr Schmidt after soccer games, for the adjustment yes, but also for his quick whit and affectionate smile. We all knew you both cared for us as patients, but also as friends. All of us are grateful for you and will miss you fiercely. 

Chris, my heart is breaking for you and your family. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I so loved coming to see you both, and always felt better after my visit. Your Dr was one of a kind! So good at his job, so giving and understanding.  And funny! I loved bantering back and forth with him! Our whole community will miss him, especially me. Praying for your peace. Love, Jan
