

Wilma Gaskins Bynum, age 90, died Monday, May 17, 2021, at Belvedere Nursing and Rehab in Hot Springs, AR. She was born July 18, 1930, in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Grover and Novie Gaskins.
Wilma was a retired first grade school teacher and a beloved pastor’s wife. She spent her lifetime in service to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was loved by all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Forrest Bynum, who died in May, 2009. Also preceding her in death were grandsons, Kyle Bynum and Jody Bynum, great-granddaughter, Trinity Alexis Bynum, and a sister, Pat Dobson.
Surviving to carry on her legacy are her children, Mike Bynum (Jan) of Lamar, MS, Jim Bynum (Cheryl) of Junction City, LA, Philip Bynum (Rosan) of Paragould, AR and Roxie Wright (Bruce) of Hot Springs Village, AR.
Also surviving her are grandchildren Chris Bynum (Traci), Jon Bynum, Sundy Ruhl (Tony), Levi Bynum, Lindsey Bynum, Alan Spraggins, Julie Day (Stephen), and great-grandchildren, Lane Bynum-Winn, Foster Bynum-Winn, Sydni Bynum, Jenna Spraggins, Laynie Spraggins, Gracen Day and Mattie Day.
She is also survived by 3 sisters who she dearly loved, Barbara Hamrick, Fayetteville, AR, Marcella Jackson, Olive Branch, MS, and Jo Baker, Ripley, TN.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. at the cemetery. Arrangements are by Gross Funeral Home of Hot Springs.
