Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church located at 3076 W. Main Street in Gray, LA 70359 with Rev. Louis Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Gwendolyn Howard Monette and Nathan Payne and wife, Nannette; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Ruby Howard; brother, Akili Monette; sisters, Akia Monette, Letedra Thompkins and Niya Payne; and a special companion, Lara Saintil.
He was preceded in death by, his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Ella Payne.
He was an independent design artist in the apparel industry.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Houma.
