Amelia Harris Bovia, age 90, a resident of Morgan City, La., and a native of New Orleans, La., died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 7:40 AM at Morgan City Health Care. Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Morgan City, La., Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 10:00 AM. Burial in the Providence Memorial Park Inc., in Metairie, La. Amelia leaves to cherish her memories; a daughter, Gail Bovia of Patterson, La; one sister, Mildred Francois of Morgan City, La; five grandchildren; Chandra Turner, Shelda Turner, Andrea Turner, Kenneth Hasty and Keyvone Turner and a host of relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; Letrus Harris and Alberta Riley Wilson, and a granddaughter.
