Pastor Annie Mae Brooks-Veltz, age 79, a resident of Patterson, La., died Monday, March 31, 2014 at 4:05 AM at Iberia Medical Center.Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, La., from 10:00 AM until funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Home Industrial Cemetery of Patterson.Pastor Veltz leaves to cherish her memories; four sons, Gary C. Levy of Killean, TX., Keith L. Levy (Beaulah) and Junius M. Levy both of Patterson, La., and Byron C. Levy of Austin, TX; a daughter, Betty A. Taylor (Alonzo) of San Antonia, TX., twenty grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.Pastor Veltz was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Brooks, Sr.; her mother, Annie Smith Brooks; her husband, Louis J. Veltz; seven brothers, Charles Coleman, Lionel Brooks, Joseph Brooks, Jr., Spencer Brooks, Alvin Brooks, Frank Brooks and Wedell Brooks; three sister, Ella Brooks, Martha Brooks and Ara Brooks.
