Barney Jonathan Celestin, Sr.

Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 120 Mission Blvd, Houma, LA, 70363. Burial will follow in Combon Cemetery in Grand Caillou.

He is survived by: two sons, Barney J. Celestin, Jr. (Sharena) and Troy Celestin; three daughters, Tijuanna Ard, Latonya and Bonnie Ann Celestin; his father, Jonathan Celestin, Jr. (Betty) and stepfather, Roy Norman; one sister, Minister Ora Mae Celestin; five brothers, Rev. Augustus G. Brown, Jr. (Aquiana); Mark Celestin, Sr. (Tremella), Sylvester Celestin, Jay Wayne Celestin (Kathy) and Kevin Celestin (Michelle); and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: one daughter, Christina R. Celestin; his mother, Ora Mae Bonvillain-Norman; one sister, Connie Ann Celestin; maternal grandparents, Willie, Sr. and Emma "Susie" Rutledge-Bonvillain; paternal grandparents, Rev. Jonathan, Sr. and Mable J. Celestin; one nephew, Jeremiah W. Celestin; and one sister-in-law, Jeanette Brown.
