Betty Ruth Young Duchan

Visitation will be observed Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Walmsley United Methodist Church. 608 Freret St, Morgan City, LA 70380 from 8:00 AM until funeral services at 10:00 AM.  Rev. Greaselda E. Bickman will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery. 

Memories of Betty will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Rudy Duchan of Patterson, LA; one son, Joseph C. Young, III of Patterson, LA; three daughters, Ina Y. (Alvin) Irvin of Patterson, LA; Jo Lynn (Jonathan) Dardar of Houston, TX and Tina (Kevin) Hamilton of Bay Town, TX; Robert Walmsley of Baltimore, MD, Larry Singleton of Thibodaux, LA;

Mary Lee Vining of Marrero, LA , Marion Murray of Patterson, LA and Diann Johnson of Morgan City, LA; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson B. Singleton and Rebecca C. Singleton; her grandmother Dorothy Campbell; her first husband, Joseph C. Young, Jr.; one brother, Louis Henderson; three sisters, Stephanie Singleton, Matilda Harris and  Delores Short.
