Visitation will be from 9 a.m until funeral time the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23 at Old Fountain Missionary Baptist Church located at 615 Highway 308 in Thibodaux with Rev. McCullen Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Lily Cemetery.
She is survived by sons, Charles, Jr., and Kendall Mathews and Myron Johnson; daughters, Laquisha Mathews and Zantipia Hills; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchidren; one sister, Ruby Livas Jackson; and two godchildren, Tovannette Jones and Sandra Watts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph Mathews, Sr.; son, Toriano "Tito" Livas; grandson, Cory Henderson; parents, Ulysses and Annie Adams-Livas; two brothers, Sylvester and David Adams Livas; sister, Gustavia "Sheila" Reed; and mother-in-law, Eula Mae Mathews.
