Brenda is survived by two sons, Melvin Johnson and Jamon Johnson; brothers, Ernest Moses, Kirby (Helen) Moses, and Howard Veal; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine Moses and Linda Moses.
She is preceded in death by her father, Elijah Veal, Sr.; mother, Sarah Johnson Veal; brothers, Willie Veal, Elijah Veal, Jr., Edward Moses, Alton Moses; and sister, Shirley Johnson.
Visitation and funeral services will be observed on Saturday, January 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM until funeral time at 1:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home 230 S. Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360. Burial will follow at Southdown Cemetery.
