Brenda Ann ""Tulsa"" Williams-Nelson, 58, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 8:34 a.m. at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Schriever. Burial will follow in Halfway Cemetery. She is survived by: her mother, Gladys Stevenson Williams; her former husband, Mitchell Nelson, Sr.; son, Mitchell, Jr. (Rachelle) Nelson; two daughters, Lakisha M. Nelson (Gregory Patterson), and Angelique R. Nelson; four sisters, Brenda Lee Williams, Barbara Ann Nevis, Belinda Lee (Alton, Jr.) Clay, and Loretta Texas Barabin; one brother, Joshua Williams; and thirteen grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: her father, Jasper ""Good Buddy"" Williams, Sr.; grandparents, Hamilton and Lena Cheatham and Roger and Idela Stevenson-Williams; and a brother, Jasper Williams, Jr. Jones Funeral Home of Houma in charge of arrangements.
