Byron Courtney O'Gwin

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Siracusaville Recreation Center (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing) 1110 Grace Street Morgan City, LA from 11:00 AM until funeral services at 1:00 PM. Pastor Norman A. Stovall will officiate the services. Burial will follow services in the Morgan City Cemetery. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Page at 1:00 P. M. on Saturday December 19, 2020.

O'Gwin; a son, Courtney Smith all of Morgan City, LA; brothers, Ronald (Linda) O'Gwin of Seattle, WA, Reginald O'Gwin of CA, Efrem O'Gwin of Abbeville, LA and Cory Martin of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Melonie A. O’Gwin and Patrice L. Hebert both of Morgan City, LA and Tina Walton of Baton Rouge, LA; nieces, Takeiwa (Keddrick) Jones, Ashley O’Gwin, Tieka Junifer, Kirsten(Jhemery) Coleman and Destinee Hebert; nephews; Broderick Junifer, Derwin Hebert, Jr., and Dustin Hebert; fifteen great-nieces and nephews; god children, Milettte Robinson, Tierra Silvie and Keisha Thomas; five aunts, two uncles; a special friend, Yvonne Renthrope and a host of other relatives and friends.

Byron was preceded in death by: his father, Alfred O'gwin, Sr.; brother, Alfred O’Gwin, Jr., paternal grandparents, Alexander O’Gwin Sr. and Thelma Verdun Harris; maternal grandparents, Zelmo E.Watson, Jr and Leola Dangerfield Watson; uncles, Leroy O'Gwin, Alex O'Gwin, Albert Watson, Zelmo E.Watson, III, Lawrence D.Watson and Larry L. Watson; aunts, Hazel W. Harris, Elyven M. Bobb, Beverly Rose Watson, Patrinella Watson, Ella Mahannah and seven cousins.
