Obituary for Charles Winslow Jr.

Visitation 9:00am till 10:15am at First Baptist Church 1987 Hwy 311 Schriever, LA 70395. Funeral service at 10:30am, Interment Halfway Cemetery immediately following the service.

Charles Winslow Jr., a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Schriever, Louisiana, passed away on October 18, 2026.

Charles received his primary and secondary education through the Terrebonne Parish School System and attended H. L. Bourgeois High School. He was employed by LeBlanc Brothers for many years as a truck driver, a profession he carried out with dedication and commitment.

In his leisure time, Charles enjoyed fishing and watching football on television. He was a kindhearted and helpful person who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His generosity, caring spirit, and willingness to be there for others will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Charles leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved wife, Rosyln Gasery Winslow; his children, Devante (Nicole) Clark, Ke’john (Pamela) Francis, Charles Clark, Tyron Winslow, Kewann Conley, and Kemesha Brown; his stepchildren, Kanisha Herbert and Steven Hebert; his loving mother, Regina Ballard Winslow; his siblings, Byron Winslow (Georgette), Teron Winslow (Tekara), Naisha Winslow Norman (Gary), Terrinesha Winslow, Brittany Winslow Edwards (Allando), and Britnesha Winslow; his five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Winslow Sr.; his brother, Keon Winslow; his maternal grandparents, Clara and Johnny Ballard; and his paternal grandparents, Edna and Lawrence Winslow.

Though Charles has departed this earthly life, the memories he created, the love he shared, and the kindness he showed to others will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, generosity, and service to others will never be forgotten.

May he rest in eternal peace.
