Chester Hawkins, age 51, a resident and native of Houma, La., died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at his Houma residence at 3:45 PM. Visitation will be Monday, June 11, 2012 at First Corinthians Baptist Church, 1114 Church St., in Houma, La., from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Southdown Cemetery. Chester leaves to cherish his memories; four brothers, Thomas Hawkins, Jr., of California, James Hawkins and Thomas Hawkins, III both of Houston, TX., and Leonard Brown of Dallas, TX; three sisters, JoAnn Hawkins Taplet of Raceland, La., Teresa Hawkins of Modesto, Calif and Catherine Lawson of Houma, La; and a host of relatives and friends. Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Almeader and Thomas Hawkins, Sr., and a brother, John Hawkins.
