Clara Mae Bruce

Visitation will be observed from 8:00 a.m. until funeral services at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S. Hollywood Road, Houma, LA, 70360. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.) Burial will follow in the Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery in Napoleonville, LA.

Memories of Clara Mae will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Wayne Nathaniel (Shawana) Bruce, Ricky Lynn Bruce, and Nonette Marie (Terrence) Davis; a stepdaughter, Michelle Robinson; siblings, Heloise Benjamin (Steve) Lazard, Jr. and Susie Marie Brown; godchildren, Jeremy Lazard, Montel Boyd, and James Smith, Jr. eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel Bruce, Jr.; granddaughter, Sierra Bouzigard; parents, McKinley and Moser Benjamin; siblings, Cleveland Benjamin, Roland Benjamin, Felton Banjamin, Medrick Benjamin, Theresa Burd, Elmedia Vicks, and Myrtle Ratcliff; five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; a stepdaughter, Elois Westley and a godchild, Willie Brown.
