Clara was baptized at the Church of Christ in Morgan City by Brother Frances Sweet.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her brothers, Edward (Betty M.) Castle Jr. and Isaac (Sandy J.) Castle Sr., both of Houma, Louisiana, and James (Gloria) Johnson of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her sisters, Evella C. Bradford and Julia Castle, both of Morgan City, Louisiana; her devoted caregiver of 15 years, Katisha White of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Castle Sr. and Clara Johnson Castle; two brothers, Martin Castle and Rodney “Robert” Castle; two nephews, Isaiah Castle and Jonas Castle; her paternal grandparents, Jim and Maggie Brooks Castle; and her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Molly Johnson.
Viewing will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 230 S Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360, US, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 am until the start of the Funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Gibson, LA.
