Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Beulah Baptist Church 5544 North Bayou Black Dr. Gibson, Louisiana with burial following at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memories six sons; Norris (Lorraine), Ronald (Delores), Reginald (Tora), Willie and Derrick Short both of Gibson, LA and Darian (Kimberly) Short of Atlanta, GA; four daughters; Irma(Thomas) Grow of Vacherie, LA, Regina Short of Gibson, LA; Felicia (Leroy) Smith and Tina Short both of Houma, LA; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, godchild; John Diggs of Gibson, LA .

She was preceded in death by her parents; Shelby and Agnes Sims Nash Johnson, Sr., her husband; Norris Short, Sr., two sons; Donald and Tony Short, six brothers; Henry Sr., Thomas, Sr., Nash, James, Shelby, Jr., and Robert Johnson, four sisters; Margie Nash Givens, Elnora Nash Diggs, Yvette Nash and Ella Mae Johnson Etheridge, an one great grandchild; Jaleel Washington.
