Dorothy Johnson, age 80, a resident of Morgan City and a native of Jeanerette, La., died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 5:15 AM at Promise Specialty Hospital in Baton Rouge. Dorothy taught in the St. Mary Parish School System for 32 years as a elementary teacher. Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of Delta. Visitation will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Jeanerette, La., from 9:00 AM, performance by Delta at 10:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette, La. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Henry Johnson of Berwick, La; a daughter, Claudia Johnson, her two grandchildren she reared, Monique Johnson and Terrance Johnson all of Morgan City, La; and a host of relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Wesley, Sr., and Lillie Paul Wesley.
