Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 7 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church located at 412 Railroad Avenue. Burial will follow in Christ Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Wright (Karen) and Alton D. Lewis (Keisha); daughters, Beverly Gibson, Sadie LaGarde (Ernest), Debra Lewis, Sharlene Stokes (Herbert), and Stephanie Dock; twenty-three grandchildren; fifty-four great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and sister, Elmira Singleton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Lewis; parents, Henry, Sr. and Sadie Thomas-Bergeron; brothers, Edison, Algiers, Jessie, Leonard, Sylvester, and Henry Bergeron, Jr.; and sister Sidnan Merrick.
