Dorothy Mae Verret Verdin

Dorothy is survived by her daughters Charlene Curol (Everett) of Erath, Louisiana; Arlene Verdin of Gonzales, Louisiana; Elaine Boquet (Pete) of Bourg, Louisiana; Darlene Provost (Tim) of Houma, Louisiana; Marlene Sarchet (Jason) of Houma, Louisiana; Jolene Verdin of Houma, Louisiana; Pauline Verdin of Houma, Louisiana; Summerlene Carrere (Chad) of Dulac, Louisiana; and her brother Calvin Verret of Houma, Louisiana. Grandchildren; Mandy, Jonathan, Hunter, Katy, Crystal, Courtney, Cody, Chris, Brandon, Kevin, Jason, Jaron, Jadon, James, Rihanna, LeeRonne, Dyneek, Ariel, Perry, Jada, Sara, Sierra, Chazz and nine great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Bazoo Verdin; her daughter Earline (Lynn Lynn) Verdin; her father John Verret and her mother Eva Dion Verret; her grandsons Joey Verdin and Nichols Curol; her brother Edward Verret; her sister Rosemary Scott; and her sister Evelina St. Pierre; and her son-in-law Jerry Boquet.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, 230 S Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360. A second day of visitation will occur Monday, November 17, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church, 246 Corporate Dr, Houma, LA 70360. A mass of a Christian burial will occur Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church, 246 Corporate Dr, Houma, LA 70360. Burial will at Southdown Cemetery.
