He is survived by his wife, Joanne Jackson Ruffin and children, Perry Breaux; Terrence Jackson; Oray Jackson; Eddie Jackson; (step-son) Kenyiell Jackson; Carol Elder; Chimere Williams; Klenthy Friday and Valerie Ruffin. Brother, Frank Ruffin and sister, Eva Mae Stevenson; twenty-four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Louis Ruffin and Lizzie Mae Ruffin. Son, Dontrell Jackson; brother, Walter Hickerson and sister, Very Ruffin.
