Edward Buggage Jr.

A visitation for Edward will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at New St Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 2766 LA-311, Schriever, LA 70395, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Edward Buggage Jr. was born to the union of Edward Buggage and Pernella Jupiter Buggage on December 29, 1975, in Napoleonville, LA. Edward transitioned peacefully from his labor to reward on November 8, 2025, in New Orleans, LA. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was baptized at the Beautiful Zion Baptist Church, in Napoleonville, LA under the leadership of the late Rev. Fred Dorsey.

Edward graduated from Assumption High School in 1996 and obtained his associate’s degree in business management from Brookline College in 2014. He worked as a laborer in the oil and refinery industry at Tuboscope Corrosion Control Solutions in Amelia, LA and Weatherford International in Houma before becoming ill.

Edward was joined in Holy Matrimony to his loving wife, Rachel Parfait Buggage on November 5, 2005. Together they reared a beautiful daughter, Allie Marie Buggage. He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Kenric Buggage and Patrick Buggage, two sisters, Paula Shepherd (Apostle CL Shepherd, Sr.), and Genise Golden, and a dear cousin Jacy Singleton. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Willard Harvey, Lawrence Buggage, Anthony Buggage, Charles Gregory Sr, Floyd Buggage, Josep Singleton, Johnny Ross, Johnny Warr, Spencer Nelson Sr., and Marvin Alcee, a cousin, Adrian Nelson, paternal grandparents, Ulysses Paul Buggage and Josephine Dorsey Buggage, maternal grandmother, Ruth Cox Jupiter Harvey, and a brother-in-law, Don Golden.
