Edward Lewis, Sr.

Edward was a veteran of The United States Army.  Recieving decorations and citations of Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon and Victory Ribbon.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the First Jerusalem Baptist Church 835 Monnot Rd. Jeanerette, LA 70544, from 8:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 AM.  Reverend Arthur Lee Alexander will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery of Jeanerette with Military Honors.

Cherished and divine memories of Edward Sr. will forever be remembered by his beloved and loving children including five sons, Edward Lewis, Jr. (Linda), Roland Lewis and Michael Lewis (Elaine) all of Jeanerette, LA, Ronald Lewis (Claudina) of Copperas Cove, TX and Davis Lewis, Sr. of Beaumont, TX; three daughters, Irma Sparrow (Donald Ray Sr.) of Jeanerette, LA, Beatrice Thompson of New Orleans, LA and Margaret Senette of Houston, TX; one sister, Clara Lewis of Jeanerette, LA; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his wife. Sages Lewis; his parents, Henry and Margaret Williams-Lewis; one son, Russell Lewis, Sr.; one daughter, Theresa Lewis; five brothes, Harold Lewis, Henry "Mike" Lewis, Jr., Wesey Williams, Issac Williams and Clarence Lewis and two sisters, Emma McNeal and Dorothy Colar.
