Ellen ""Sis"" B. Triggs, age 103, a resident of Patterson, La., died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the AMG Specialty Hospital in Houma at 8:04 AM. Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, La., from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Shields Cemetery of Patterson. Mrs. Ellen ""Sis"" Triggs leaves to cherish her memories; one son, Joseph (Cynthia) Triggs of Laplace, La. 5 Grandchildren: Mark (Tamaria) Flemings of Opelika, Al; Arlana Triggs of Van Nuys, Ca; Christie (Travis) Taylor of Harvey, La; ""devoted caretakers"" Kreig (Rekeisha) Triggs of Patterson, La; and Joseph Michael Triggs of Laplace, La. 8 great-grandchildren, & a host of other relatives and friends. ""Sis"" was preceded in death by her: parents: Julia McNeal Bedell & Joseph Bedell, Sr., one child: Ellen Faye Triggs, four siblings: Joseph Bedell Jr., Charlie Bedell, Frank Bedell, Sr. and Dorothy Bedell; one grandchild: Flora Triggs & a great-grandchild: Joshua Granger.
