He was baptized at an early age and later recommitted his life to Jehovah.
His favorite outdoor hobby was fishing. He loved good food, dancing, and, of course, his music. His favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his favorite basketball team was the Los Angeles Lakers.
Elton leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Barbara Ann Bradley; three daughters, Isis (Corey) Jacobs, Kizzy Bradley, and Antoinette Johnson; one son, Elton Hester; two stepdaughters, Jessica and Deidre Coleman; one brother, Roland (Sharon) Bradley; four sisters, Linda (Rodney) White, Debra (William) Wheaten, Vivian Bradley, and Sandra Johnson; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one aunt, Olivia Robinson Charles; one brother-in-law, Samuel Farlow; two sisters-in-law, Martha Ann Robinson and Elldora Marie Trosclair; and a host of family and friends.
Elton was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel Bradley Sr. and Catherine Bradley; his maternal grandparents, William and Polly Charles; one sister, Carolyn Bland; and two brothers, Nathaniel Bradley Jr. and Nathan Bradley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 230 S. Hollywood Road, Houma, Louisiana. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Morristown Cemetery in Raceland, Louisiana.
