A public viewing will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S. Hollywood Road in Houma. Due to the pandemic, everyone will be required to wear face masks in the building at all times. Burial will follow in Crescent Farm Cemetery.
He is survived by sisters, Alice Dunbar and Sylvia Sims (James); and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis Maloney Carter, Sr.; Rose Mary Jones; sister, Elaine Carter; maternal grandparents, Wilson and Ida Evans Jones; nephew, Donovan Jones; brother-in-law, Lionel Dunbar.
