Ernest ""Pank"" Blanks, Sr. age 76, a resident of Franklin, La., died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center at 11:50 AM. Visitation will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street in Franklin, LA., from 10:00 AM until funeral services at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery - Main Street in Franklin, LA. Minister Carl Lewis will officiate the services. ""Pank"" leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Debra Blanks of Franklin, LA; five daughters, Linda (Hosie) Henderson, Angela (Pastor Kenneth) Walton, Pamela (Gary) Romes, and Jessica (Donoven) Rudolph all of California, and Kessie (Derek) Neville of Franklin, LA; four sons, Ernest Blanks, Jr. of California, Jamal Johnson of Franklin, LA, Nick (Danielle) Johnson, Sr. of Baker, LA and Henry (Warren White) Johnson of New Iberia, LA; one sister, Annie King of Lake Charles, LA; twenty-six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a special niece, Sandra (Mitchell) Marks of Lafayette, LA; a special nephew, Michael Westley of New Iberia, LA; a devoted sister-in-law, Linda (Nathaniel) Bowles of Franklin, LA; two special friends, Sarah B. Darby and Joseph Callery both of Franklin, LA and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Blanks was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Blanks and Beulah Pickett; one daughter, Sonia Blanks; two grandchildren, Shemerly Brokaw and Donoven Rudolph, Jr.; four brothers, Ivory Pickett, Arthur Westley, Henry D. Westley, and James Westley and two sisters Audrey Mae Blanks and Beulah Conner.
