Ernest Lawrence ""Peanut"" Jones, Jr. age 54, a resident of Morgan City, La., died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at his residence. Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2011 at Siracusaville Recreation Center from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Greenwoods Cemetery. Ernest ""PEANUT"" leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lisa Davis Jones of Morgan City; three sons, Ernest Jones, III, Michael Carbins and Jessie C. Davis all of Morgan City; five daughters, Danne Latrice Mingo, Kizzy Jones, Aquila Mingo, Doreen M. Davis and Latisha M. Davis all of Morgan City; three brothers, Michael Jones, Conley (Melva) Jones and Anthony (Edna) Jones all of Morgan City; four sisters, Mrs. David (Almetra J.) Franklin of Verdunville, La., Norma J. Skinner, Mrs. Claudel(Eva Marie J.) Ramagos and Mary E. Jones all of Morgan City; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Jones, Sr. and Doris Rita Levine Jones, a brother, Freddy Jones, Jr., a sister, Ora Lee Singleton Smith, a brother-in-law, Roy Skinner and a sister-in-law, Anna Jones.
