Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Mechanicville Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2709 Senator St. in Houma. Burial will follow in Deweyville Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons Vincent and James Anthony Varnado; daughter, Leslie Varnado; a host of grandchildren; and two godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Martin; daughters, Donna Bass and Annie Marie Varnado; parents, David and Ellen Currie Varnado; brothers, Andrew, Willie, James, Audrey Ray and Vincent Varnado; sisters, Emma Magee, Minerva Coleman and Annie Pride.
