Evelyn W. Butler

Evelyn Butler, age 73, a resident of Patterson, La., and a native of Morgan City, La., died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 1:16 PM at Teche Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, La., from 1:00 PM until funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the Shield Cemetery. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Erwin Butler, Sr., of Patterson, La; three daughters, Claudia (Melvin) Schexnayder of Niceville, FL., Evelyn Cross and Yolanda Butler both of Patterson, La; five sons, Kenneth Evans, Anthony Evans, Samuel Cross, III, Mark Cross and Murphy Butler all of Patterson, La; two stepchildren, Erwin (Ethel) Butler, Jr., of Morgan City, La., and Betty Jo Butler of Patterson; two sisters, Claudell Watson and Lillie Mae Charles both of Morgan City, La; and a host of relatives and friends. Evelyn preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, a daughter and a stepdaughter.
