July 25, 1954 — October 23, 2025
With deep love and lasting gratitude, we celebrate the life of Faye Marie Morgan Williams, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose candor, warmth, and fierce loyalty left an impression on everyone who knew her. Born July 25, 1954, to the late Zilda B. Wallace and Freddie Morgan, Faye was baptized as a child at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church by the late Rev. Adam J. Arceneaux and carried her faith with quiet strength throughout her life. A proud graduate of Terrebonne High School, she worked for many years at Walmart and Cannata’s, where colleagues remember her steady work ethic and ready laugh.
Fay’s family was the center of her world. She loved fiercely, spoke plainly, and celebrated life’s small joys—family gatherings, the voices of her grandchildren, and the honest bonds forged over time. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Rontrell Williams (Kelly) Norris and Dontrell Williams (Laura) and four adoring grandchildren, Leland Williams, Jasa Lewis, Janiya Lewis, and Lamark (Trey) Henry III. She was the cherished sister of Oliver Poindexter, Willie Morgan, Freddie Morgan, and Maxine Dillard, and is survived by her former husband, Johnny Williams; brothers‑in‑law Melvin and Ezekiel Calloway; godchildren Sonya Johnson and Valarie; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and relatives who carried her spirit into their lives.
Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Morgan, Sr. and Zilda Wallace; grandparents Leonard and Rosie Morgan and Anita Coleman and Rev. Adam J. Arceneaux; her brother Eddie C. Wallace; sisters Beryl Adams, Patricia Morgan, Kathleen Calloway, Jeanette Brown, Freddie Mae Mitchell, and Elaine Carter; and her long‑time companion, Bobby Vance. Though she is gone, her directness, care for family, and the memories she made will remain a steady presence for all who loved her.
We honor Fay’s life by holding close the lessons she taught us: to love plainly, to speak honestly, and to stand by those we cherish. May her memory be a blessing and a comfort to her family and friends.
Guests may call upon the family for a time visitation from 9 AM until the time of Service at 11 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church, 120 Hialeah Ave Ste. B, Houma, LA. Burial will follow at Southdown Cemetery.
