

Frank “Joe Louis” Bradley III, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a man cherished for his gentle spirit, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Terrebonne Parish, Frank began his early education at Southside Elementary and continued on to graduate from the esteemed Southdown High School in 1960. That same year, with a deep sense of duty and patriotism, he entered the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country.
In 1976, Frank met Ms. Mae Pierce, and the two were united in marriage in 1978 in Fort Worth, Texas. Together they built a life grounded in love, respect, and unwavering devotion to family. Their home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and togetherness.
Frank was a man who found joy in life’s simplest pleasures. He was an avid golfer, a loyal football fan, and he cherished every opportunity to spend time with his family. Whether sharing stories, enjoying a quiet afternoon, or relaxing with a Bud Light in hand, Frank’s presence brought comfort and happiness. Known for his kindness, friendliness, and selflessness, he greeted every day with a smile and carried himself with grace, gratitude, and humility. He never complained, even through life’s greatest challenges, and his gentle nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Mae Bradley of New Orleans, Louisiana; his son, Frank (Galone) Bradley IV of Bogart, Georgia; his daughter, Bridgit (Kenny) Lewis of Houma, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. His love and legacy live on in each of them.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Lee Bradley; his mother, Elizabeth Hamilton Bradley; father, Frank Bradley II; son, Aaron Clifford Bradley; daughter, Shalonda Denise Pierce; grandson, Travis Williams; brother, Kari Lee Bradley; sister, Rose Lee White; grandparents Perry Hamilton and Viola Turner; and many beloved aunts and uncles.

Frank “Joe Louis” Bradley III will be remembered for his boundless compassion, his quiet strength, and the love he poured into his family. His life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion. Though he will be deeply missed, the light he brought into this world will continue to shine through the lives of those he touched.
A visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home, located at 230 S Hollywood Rd., Houma, LA 70360, on December 1, 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Southdown Cemetery.
